Founder and CEO of Valar Atomics, Nuclear Energy Entrepreneur, Self-Taught Engineer, Advanced Energy Innovator

Isaiah Taylor is the founder and chief executive officer of Valar Atomics, an advanced nuclear energy company working to make nuclear power more affordable, scalable, and accessible to energy-intensive industries. A self-taught engineer and serial entrepreneur, Taylor founded the company in 2023 with a vision to transform nuclear energy through standardized reactor designs, manufacturing efficiency, and a faster path from engineering to deployment.

Taylor’s interest in nuclear technology began early. Drawn to engineering, software development, and the challenge of solving complex technical problems, he developed a conviction that conventional approaches to nuclear power were too costly and slow to meet future energy demands. Before founding Valar Atomics, he built businesses in automotive services and software, gaining experience in operations, technology, and company building.

Under Taylor’s leadership, Valar Atomics is developing advanced high-temperature gas-cooled reactors using helium as a coolant, graphite as a moderator, and TRISO fuel. The company’s strategy centers on producing standardized reactors at scale and deploying them near industrial customers. Its intended applications include powering data centers, supporting heavy manufacturing, and producing hydrogen and synthetic fuels, with the broader goal of delivering abundant, reliable, low-carbon energy.

In June 2026, Valar Atomics achieved a significant technical milestone when its Ward 250 reactor completed a zero-power fueled criticality demonstration at the San Rafael Energy Research Center in Utah as part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Reactor Pilot Program. In August 2026, the company announced a $1 billion Series B financing led by Sequoia Capital, alongside a $200 million credit facility, marking a major expansion in the resources available to pursue its manufacturing and deployment ambitions.

Taylor represents a new generation of technology entrepreneurs applying startup execution and manufacturing principles to one of the world’s most technically demanding industries. Through Valar Atomics, he is working to reshape how advanced nuclear systems are developed and deployed, with the ambition of making abundant energy a foundation for industrial growth, technological progress, and long-term human advancement.

Aaron Spivak

Serial Entrepreneur, Co-Founder of Hush, Co-Founder of The Founders Club, Investor, Keynote Speaker

Aaron Spivak is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and speaker known for building consumer brands and creating communities that help entrepreneurs grow. He co-founded Hush, a Canadian sleep and wellness company, and helped scale it from an early-stage startup into a multimillion-dollar business acquired by Sleep Country Canada in 2021. His entrepreneurial journey reflects a focus on identifying consumer needs, building distinctive brands, and scaling businesses through product innovation, customer relationships, and disciplined execution.

Spivak began his entrepreneurial career at 18, co-founding Revitasize, an organic cold-pressed juice company that expanded to multiple locations across the Greater Toronto Area. He later partnered with Lior Ohayon to launch Hush in 2018, initially operating with limited resources and a mission to improve sleep. The company gained national attention with its weighted blankets, including its cooling blanket campaign on Kickstarter, which raised more than $1.5 million in 30 days. Hush grew rapidly into a recognized sleep brand before its acquisition by Sleep Country Canada in October 2021, in a deal widely reported at approximately $48 million.

Following the Hush acquisition, Spivak turned his attention to a different challenge facing entrepreneurs: the isolation that can accompany building and scaling a company. He co-founded The Founders Club with Chris Meade, establishing a private, vetted community for high-growth founders in consumer packaged goods, e-commerce, retail, and related industries. The community is designed to help entrepreneurs build meaningful relationships, share practical knowledge, and navigate the personal and professional demands of leadership. Its philosophy emphasizes connection, accountability, and the belief that founders are better equipped to succeed when they can learn from peers who understand their challenges.

As a speaker and mentor, Spivak shares lessons from building companies, navigating growth, and experiencing a major business exit at a young age. Through his talks and founder-to-founder content, he discusses entrepreneurship beyond the headlines, including the realities of scaling, leadership, goal-setting, and maintaining well-being while pursuing ambitious business goals. His work encourages founders to build with intention, develop strong support networks, and define success in ways that extend beyond financial outcomes.

Spivak’s career continues to center on entrepreneurship, investment, and community-building. Through The Founders Club and his work supporting business leaders, he aims to create environments where founders can exchange ideas, access opportunities, and build more sustainable companies and lives.
